Friendship Ministries is God’s house and because it is God’s house, everyone is welcome here. Our name exemplifies our persona. We are a friendly church with the people whom we serve at heart, a church that does not discriminate or exclude anyone from worshiping. We believe:
That God manifested Himself in three persons as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, that He is the Father in creation, Son in Christ, Holy Spirit that lives in the believer, we believe in the mystery of the trinity. Matthew 3:16 & 17
We believe that salvation is the grace work of Jesus Christ which is experienced through faith apart from works. Ephesians 2:8 and 9 for by grace are ye saved through faith; and not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.
Not by works, lest any man should boast.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, which draws us towards salvation, indwells and inspires to faithful living. Romans 8:26 likewise the spirit also helpeth our infirmities, for we know not what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Itself maketh intercession for us with groaning that cannot be uttered. St. John 6:44 no man can come to Me, except the Father which hath sent Me draws him: and I will raise Him up at the last day.
We believe that whoever calls on the name of Jesus and believes in Him through faith shall be saved, Romans 10:13 for whosever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
We believe the inward work of salvation is revealed through the fruit of the Spirit which is made manifest in the life of the believer. Galations 5:22 and 23, but the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance against such there is no law.
We believe that the Holy Spirit equips believers with gifts to effectively carry out the ministry of the church 1 Corinthians 12:4-11 Ephesians 4:11-13.
We believe that water baptism is symbolic of the death and resurrection of Christ and that water baptism, in itself, bestows no righteousness on the repentant, however, we encourage the repentant to be baptized in keeping with the tradition of the Christian Church.
We believe that a person who confesses Christ should seek church membership, in order to be instructed in the ways of scripture, participate in worship, and fellowship with the household of faith.
